Best Robot Vacuum Cleaner and Mop
Robotic vacuum cleaners and mops are the best method of quickly cleaning up messes. The best robot vacs and mops in my tests have top-notch mapping and navigation, picking up Cheerios, tangled wires and fake dog turds with out leaving them behind.
They're also user-friendly with an application that lets you plan cleaning tasks and check on how they're doing.
- Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra
The Roborock S8 MaxV is the most efficient robot mop and vacuum combination. It comes with the most recent features. This high-end vacuum is fast and agile and was able to pick up pet hair and human dander almost perfectly in our Debris Pickup Test. It also comes with a stylish app interface with a mini map of your home and a few buttons on the screen for manual control.
Another standout feature is the S8's ability to adjust its cleaning mode based on the amount of dirt it encounters thanks to its Dirt Detection Technology. It will stop and wash its mopping pad more often when it encounters dust while prioritizing carpeted areas for mopping with a damp pad.
It's got a host of other smart features also, including an alternative dock that connects to the plumbing in your home to clean and wash the mop roller without needing you to refill it manually. You can even make use of voice commands using the built-in voice assistant of the S8 using the phrase "Hey Rocky" to specify the cleaning of your room, modes, and granular controls with your voice.
- Yeedi Cube
The Yeedi Cube offers a variety of options for those looking for a hands free robot vacuum that can also mop. It's one of many combinator robot vacuums that include mops that are also priced lower than the competition.
Like all robovacs, the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get started. This includes setting up an app account and connecting the device to your WiFi network. After that, the machine will start vacuuming and mops easily.
It is important to remember that the mapping process can take a while, and the Yeedi Cube may need a few attempts before it has an accurate picture of your living space. The object detection feature is hit-and-miss. It was able to maneuver around furniture and other obstacles, but got stuck on a looser rug with tassels, and had to flip over to release itself. But these are minor flaws, and the Yeedi Cube is still a ideal choice for those looking for an all-in-one solution for cleaning.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping uses a rotating motion that is similar to hand scrubs. This results in floors being cleaned, not just being swept. Its detachable stick-vacuum is a game-changer that allows you to reach areas that a robotic vacuum can't.
This model is basically identical to the popular X2 Omni, but with a slightly higher suction power of 8700Pa and some additional intelligent features. The RGBD sensor upgrade is able to learn your home's environment and provide the ability to avoid obstacles in a dynamic manner. The smart app lets you adjust the settings of your choice such as scheduling, AI cleanings, and setting virtual boundaries.
The X2 Combo also has self-preparation. Both the robot vacuum and mop return to their charging station at the end of each task to clean their pads, empty the dust bins and place the debris into the self-sealing bag. This keeps the system clean and also stops allergens from circulating. Its battery life is long enough to handle large spaces without requiring a recharge mid-clean.
- Eufy S1 Pro
As one of the top-quality robot vacuums and mop models that are available, the Eufy S1 Pro offers impressive features for the price. It comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power, a rotating brush for carpets and hard floors, and great obstacles-avoiding. It also boasts a unique mopping system, which uses a roller continuously filled with water to pick up dirt and deposit it in the dirty water tank.
Its navigation system performed well. It stayed clear of steps and walked close to walls without falling. However, it had trouble with fine engrained debris and wasn't always able to remove raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating sound level is also quite high, so this model might not be as simple to set and forget as others.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, has a a docking system that allows it to replenish its clean water, empty the dustbin as well as wash and dry the mop, and empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance easy and helps the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors on a routine schedule. You can control all of its functions using the Eufy app, which provides an overview of the system and plenty of configuration options.
- Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot mowers available, and offers amazing mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. The LIDAR sensors for mapping can identify furniture legs, obstacles, and other obstacles with a reasonable accuracy. The app allows users to fine-tune the coverage of the map, establish no-go zones, or modify their cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is designed to stop hair from wrapping itself around it. This can be an issue with a lot of robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that spin at 180 RPM, while applying up to 12N downward pressure. The mopping system is also equipped with smart carpet detection, lifting these pads upwards when they're near soft surfaces to prevent contamination of them.
The docking station is an automated maintenance center that automatically washes and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distilled water. The base station also has integrated dust processing that compacts dust over 7 weeks of hassle-free operation unlike traditional robot vacuums that empty their bins of dust every time they are cleaned.
- S10
A few hundred dollars more than the S8 This robot does a bang-up job at keeping my home office tidy and is able to take on the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to create an outline of your home and knows which areas to avoid. And, unlike many vacuums that have mopping capabilities it detects objects and obstructions that is able to avoid things like dog toys and bowls (but not poop!).
It also comes with other notable features, like a self-emptying dustbin and a mop pad self-washing and able to adjust the temperature of water, and a side-reaching sweeper brush that can get to places that other mops can't reach. You can also alter the settings for each room, and set up cleaning schedules.
Like the S8, it has multi-room smart mapping and can distinguish between laminate flooring, carpets and hardwood flooring with high-pile rugs. It also lets you skip cleaning rooms that aren't clean if you want to reduce time. If you have a variety of flooring options in your home and don't wish to spend extra money on a Roborock with advanced mapping features it is a great option.
- Q5 Pro
If you're looking to find a multi-functional robot vacuum mops vacuum and mop that can handle both regular daily maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes, this robot is an excellent option. It has a range of features, including a self emptying dustbin and a separate dock for refilling water, as well as adjustable settings through the app. It is surprisingly quiet and easily moves around furniture legs or socks. However, it isn't able to pick up the tangled tassels of rugs, and its battery drains a little more quickly than other models in our tests.
With a cost of less than $250, the Q5 Pro is a bargain-friendly powerhouse that packs serious suction and handy automation into a slick design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our tests for vacuuming, but overall it did very well. It also includes a wide range of cleaning modes to meet your needs, ranging from the low-power 'Quiet' mode for debris that is light to the more powerful 'Turbo' option for carpeted rooms. It also has the capability to automatically remove and replace its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
- K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great robot vacuum and mop for people who live in tiny areas. It's very quiet and fast, and it does a good job of getting around tight spots. It also does a excellent job of pulling pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than the majority of its competitors however it doesn't compromise features. It has a decent amount of suction power and it's possible to take a picture of each object it picks up (i.e., chew toys or socks, etc.)) and mark them as 'not found in the app, so that they won't be removed during subsequent cleanings. Its photos are encrypted, and aren't tied to your account.
It is capable of vaccuming, however it isn't as effective at mopping. It uses disposable wet wipes that are clipped onto the bottom of the bot and then it drags them around your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra and Narwhal, which come with water reservoirs that automatically wash and reattach their mophead.
