MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a campaign to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers converting cooking oil into biodiesel currently take advantage of a 20p but that is because of end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has actually been meeting with the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George said "a variety of small companies in Cornwall presently generate income from utilized cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this kind of market going it does require just a little bit of lift which is available in the type of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a blend of conventional diesel, rapeseed and veggie oils.
